I was advised by a good friend and a great dj to start with this controller to begin my dj journey. He said if I didnt vibe with the whole thing, then I wouldnt feel like I had lost out on a lot of money invested. He told me that this was a great one to start out with because, while simple, it still had everything I needed to begin.I am so glad I took his advice. I LOVE djing. I adore everything about it. I've been practicing religiously for 2 months, and the feeling I get when I get a good mix going is out of this world. And this controller helped me do that! I'm still learning all the ins and outs, but I am so glad I got this because it's simple enough to use right out of the box but also advanced enough to keep me interested and learning new things for a long while.I recommend this for all beginners. With hard work and a natural love of music, you'll unlock the dj achievement! Good luck!

Hercules in my opinion, makes the best DJ controllers and software. Sure it might not have all the bells and whistle’s, but it was more fun to use. I didn’t realize until I bought a pioneer controller that uses Serato/Rekordbox. The features of Djuicd are made for beginners as they have tutorials videos and sync features to help you understand how to mix.I returned this as I was ready to upgrade and bought the pioneer FLX4. Serato is very customizable, it can be a little confusing and can bore you from DJing.I’m thinking maybe I’ll return the pioneer and get the Hercules DJ 500. As I had more fun using Djuicd software and Hercules equipment. The track analysis on Djuicd is more accurate and automatic.

When I first tried using it, I had the controller hooked up through a USB hub. The first thing you'll notice is the headphones will cut out (you'll just hear clicking noises). If you're looking at the software, you'll notice it say that the controller is disconnected.It works just fine using a USB to USB-c adapter. Just be sure it's hooked directly to the computer.

Headphone jack is defective. Audio coming out of there is completely distorted. There's no filter knobs and no treble knob. Would not recommend this product at this price. For $25 more you can get a product that's actually usable.
