I bought to use when I make yogurt with my sous vide. I use (3) 1 quart mason jars in a deep pot that is 9.5" round so it fit perfectly, and keeps my mason jars raised so the water can circulate.Size was 9" round, 1/2 spaced but the height was 7/8" and not the .4 in the description. It worked though so not a deal breaker. The edges are smooth and it is somewhat sturdy although not as heavy as other racks but good enough for what I need it for.

these are perfect. Fits in the bottom of my stock pot so I am able to use it also as a water bath when making just a few jars of perserves instead of using my huge canning pot.

Highly recommend! It was very useful and can put anything on it just like a bbq rack.

So, it's a wire rack.I bought it for canning purposes and at 10.6 inches in diameter it fits my 16 QT Mueller pot.At the moment I'm not canning anything so after making sure it would fit my pot I set canned jars of jams and jellies and pikliz and tomato juice on it to see if it would take the weight and it does. I comfortably set three (3) 32 ounce jars and and an eight (8) ounce jar on the rack -- there was zero (0) structural deficiency. It doesn't sit very high but that's not a problem. I like it, it's good.

I used these in the bottom of pot for water bath canning, and to place jars on when removed from canning. The different sizes are useful to have, although the smallest is pretty small for my purposes. The main comment here is that stability is not great for canning as it's easy to get the center of mass of a jar to be outside the legs that elevate the racks, and that can cause the rack to tip. So do take care when placing the first jar on the rack, or when removing other jars. These will tip over with just one jar on them if that jar is not sufficiently in the center. Main danger I've seen is when removing jars from the water bath and placing on a rack to cool, the rack is likely to tip unless you're careful. After cooling take care when removing jars also as it can tip when center of gravity shifts as jars are removed.

I got these to use in my steam and water bath canners. They work okay, but having more than 4 legs would have given much better stability. Overall, not bad for the money and I just need to remember to put the jars in opposite each other to prevent the rack from tipping.
