it's a die and it will just do what it was made for. no complaints. hex shape will allow using with a wrench or easy placement in a vice.

It did the trick and got me out of a dilemma, but it dulled quickly. I ended up prefiling away material that the die usually does, then reversing to finish the cut. I would by another just to have on hand. It just a shame the stainless rod was so damn hard. I need one in 4-40 for 3/32 stainless welding rod.
