Light duty vise, would be nice to have a top screw to stop swiveling movement without have to be tightening jaws.

I have used this vise for over a year now, and love it. I mounted the vise base on a 12” x 12” board which I can clamp to my workbench or take with me when I am working remotely. The horizontal and vertical mounting option for the jaws is very helpful, as is the 360 degree rotation of the jaws. This design makes it easy to orient the piece I am working on. It holds effectively and securely. I give this vise high grades.

I'm a knife maker and in the process of the many things we do this little vice works great !!!, it is smooth to operate meaning you can snug it up with the touch of a finger when working with guards, butt caps etc , then titan down and everything locks down tight. Great little vice.

My friend who is a wood worker hobbyist had this vise on an auxiliary workbench & I thought this would be perfect for my application. Have yacht with small workshop/bench in engine room so not much space. Fashioned up a thick wood base N bolted it to ladder into engine room. PERFECT solution 4 this space. Love the way vise pivots N flips on side as needed.

I'm a tool guy with a well equipped wood shop and needed a vise for some light metal work. I have a big vise but wanted something smaller for my bench top. I was pleasantly surprised to find this at the right price. It was the right size and really like the side mount option. Its well machined and finished. So far I am happy with my purchase.

I returned the "Shop Fox" because I snapped or sheared the jackscrew the second time i used it, but the overall quality really wasn't that good, overly misaligned jaws when closed, rough casting and cast left from seams, etc... This vice which I thought would be the exact same one, but $10 cheaper, is way more refined, jaws line up when closed, casting is of finished quality and no "seam slag" left from the cast process. Very happy so far, but I just got it and we'll see if standard tightening a reaction bar for an AR will shear the shaft?

This is a nice little medium duty vise that works well for my needs. One odd design aspect is the method of securingit from moving. When the set screw is engaged it locks the two pieces in place but it also causes drag on the jaws whenoperating. To correct this I will drill and tap a hole on the back side and relocate the locking set screw. With this minor modification the jaw drag will be eliminated.
