I have a coffee truck and there are always problems once the temperature reaches single digits. Everything wants to freeze up and become solid. One BIG problem is a 30 gallon water tank that once it turns into a giant ice cube, I can forget about doing any business for DAYS till it defrosts. But this simple, no-nonsense tank heating pad absolutely has made things much easier, and certainly less stressful. Plug it in, it heats up, keeps my tank from freezing up entirely, and still leaves me with water to use. Worth it, simple, and wish I had it last winter.

Since using the H&G Lifestyles RV Holding Tank Heater Pad, I no longer worry about frozen pipes or tanks during my winter travels. The constant temperature feature gives me peace of mind knowing that my system is protected, and I can focus on enjoying my trip rather than dealing with potential plumbing issues

From the reviews it was hard to figure out what it is and how it works, but basically, it's a foam piece of insulation with heating wires all over it. There is no thermostat, and no on/off switch - it's very simple, you plug it in - it works, you plug it out - it stops working. The foam pad has double-sided tape that adheres very well to a clean surface. The heating elements work instantly and heat very well.In general, I am satisfied with the purchase, but I wish there was some kind of notifier that would inform me in case there is a power failure or the heating element burns out.

I purchased these pads to use with my LiFPo batteries. I tested them by first measuring the resistance. Since the ambient temperature was 75F the thermal switch should be open. The documentation says that the pad would turn on when below the upper 30's (I forget the exact temp) and off when above 45F . I did not get open but instead it was a low resistance as would be expected when the ambient temp is colder and the switch would be closed. I next connected a dc power supply set at 12.4Vdc. The heating pad was drawing ~ 3A and heating up. I tried this with the second pad and had the same results.I don't need heating pads that heat up at 75F so I returned them to Amazon for a refund. I was tempted to ask for a replacement but upon looking at the reviews there were to many people having the same issue with the thermal switch. Other than the switch issue the quality of the pad and it's heating ability seemed adequate for what I wanted to use them for.

The 12 x 18 inch RV tank heating pad truly lives up to its purpose. From my experience, it was easy to install thanks to its adhesive backing, and the automatic thermostat was a huge relief I didn’t have to worry about turning it on or off manually The material quality is sturdy and held up well in freezing temperatures without any issues. My 50 gallon freshwater tank stayed functional during a night of sub zero temperatures. I also appreciated that it doesn’t waste energy, as it shuts off when the ambient temperature reaches a safe level. It’s a simple, reliable, and efficient solution to prevent tank freezing during winter. I would definitely recommend this heating pad to any RV user looking for a practical and durable option.

These heating pads are just what I needed for our rv holding tank. These are so easy to use and put on. They give me peace of mind that my tank won't be freezing now. They are very well built and heat up nicely. This is a cheap price for the peace of mind that comes with them.

The thermostat sensor on both of the pads I received did not work. The pad stayed on heat mode no matter what the temperature was. I was able to fix the problem by purchasing replacement thermostats and soldering them in place of the original ones. The replacement product is a KSD301, 10 amp, 10 Degree Celsius, "normally closed" thermostat--see photo. (I decided to purchase a 5 Degree Celsius one instead of the10 Degree C that it came with so that it turns on when the temp drops below 41 F rather than at 50 F.) A pack of 5 replacement thermostats cost me about $9 on E-bay. Had the original thermostats worked, I would have given this product 5 stars. However, I don't think a normal purchaser would or should have to figure out the technical details on how to repair this product to make it work properly. Maybe I just got a bad batch of pads and most of them work properly. I don't know....
