The case and foam are sturdy enough. The issue is the way the foam is cut which allows the micrometers to fall down in they slots.

Advertised as "aluminum" the box is actually made with a lught aluminum frame work only. The bulk of the box plastic covered thin wood. If you are looking for a micrometer case to just organize stationary instruments on a table this is good for that job. If one will travel and expect this case to survive in a tool box in a truck on a bumpy road, it wont.
