I bought this several months ago for a pet starling. He was excited about it as started exploring just as soon as I had it set up on his cage, and he loves hanging out in it in the evenings before he picks a perch for bedtime. Natural wood meant it was easy to let my stepdaughter decorate it with personalized artwork for our Pip before hanging it in his cage. It's been several months in a destructive starling cage and it is still holding up as good as the day I installed it. When the time comes to replace it, I will definitely repurchase this one again. It's good quality and did not have any exposed things that would be dangerous to curious birds.

The box is cute and the measurements are accurate, but I had to return the first one and get a replacement due to a NAIL sticking out of the floor of the box- on the INSIDE where my bird would have undoubtedly been injured by it. You also need to sand the hole to prevent splinters as the edges were incredibly rough. In addition to those issues, the washers that came with the box were far too small to hold the box on the cage- my cage bar spacing is only 3/4" and the washers were still way too small.The replacement box did not have a nail poking through, but did still need to be sanded and still had the tiny, useless washers. Overall, a lot of trouble to go through just for a bird house.

I have the same problem an earlier reviewer had.I need a nest box that opens from the side shown in the picture. I need three boxes for each side and now have five for one side and one for the other side.I will probably need them eventually but don’t have what I need now.They look great but can’t use them.
