I purchased a box of 360 deck screws from Trex. About 50% of the screws the head stripped. The screws from this seller seemed to be harder metal. Only about 10% of the screw heads stripped. The price per screw including the plastic retainer were less expensive than Trex.

I installed Fiberon Armorguard decking on a moderate sized deck. I started with the project with Trex hidden fasteners of the same design as the Mancoda. The Trex fasteners were difficult to use because the screw head would often strip just before the fasteners were fully seated. Sometimes the screws snapped. Also, because nearly all heads stripped, it was not possible to unscrew them. I finished the project with Mancoda fasteners. To my surprise, NONE of these problems occurred with the Mancoda fasteners. Non stripped heads, the fasteners seated firmly, no screws snapped and the fasteners can be unscrewed if needed. They are far superior to the Trex fasteners and I wish I had found this out earlier.

The Fasteners worked out well for us and I have no complaints. I would buy them again. We tried a couple different types in this one worked the best and was less expensive.

The price of these is great! The quality is great! They fit with TimberTech composite beautifully, HOWEVER 👉🏼 every gap will be 1/4” 👎🏼👎🏼 that was too big for us, so we returned these fasteners. We were trying to save money, but it wasn’t worth it for our project this time. We are adding a matching deck adjacent to our existing front porch, & the spacing of the original decking is 1/8”, & it would’ve looked awful to have 1/4” on the new one. These are great for saving money if you aren’t matching an existing deck!!
