I used these to install Trex premium decking. They were ok. You had to be careful screwing them in or they would snap at the top of the T shape from over tightening them. Defeats the purpose of using them.

Returned these as they were very hard to work with for my TimberTech boards. The grooves of the board are curved and getting the clip to sit flush with the board was a challenge. After I got it to fit, get the connecting board in was even worse. It didn’t go in smoothly and I had to bang the board really hard to get it in place. Even once secure, it seemed like the connecting board was putting upward pressure on the clip and over time it would either warp the board or the clip would become loose. I also didn’t like the spacing it left between the boards. It was a significant gap! Material also felt cheap.I ended up buying different clips from a local hardware store. They secured the heck out of the boards! The difference is night and day. It had two prongs that secured into the board, and as you tighten the screw to fasten it, you could see the board secure itself. I also feel like these clips got deeper into the groove.I’m sure the clips may work well with a different type of board, but they definitely wouldn’t be a good fit for TimberTech.

It’s very money saver as compared to trex. Definitely quality is not that good but it’s not bad either. It’s value for money

Got these for when we build the composite front deck in the spring. Out of the box these look sturdy. Clips use star drive screws (included). The directions show how to start the system, how to continue using the clips, snapping in the boards. There are online videos as well. The hardware is 304 (magnet sticks slightly), so these should last outdoors a long time. I plan on using joist tape before screwing down the clips, so that should increase the longevity a bit. All the clips seem well manufactured (no duds in the box) and there should be enough clips for about 50 sq ft of deck. That should be enough for the top part of what we plan. Will update this review after we build the deck.

These work well for composite decking and seem strong. They are hidden and hold the boards in place. The screws are not the best, but what I would expect at this low price. The screws should hold up pretty well and I think would be fine for most people unless you are really picky. But for this price you could almost buy this set and then buy some better screws and still come out ahead.

The box looks nice and the hardware in the kit seems to be OK - the plastic T's fit into my deck board fine. The concern I have is over the screws. They stick to a magnet pretty well. 304 stainless is austenitic (non-magnetic) but these stick to a magnet (see pic). Thy also bent a good bit before breaking - stainless is quite brittle. So, I'm quite skeptical of their material. I'll be returning these.

We started this project awhile back and final have the finish in sight. The fasteners work great, and we love that they are relatively hidden from sight. I would recommend these to anyone.

I did not personally use these but ordered them for our contractor to use when installing our composite deck. He said they worked well with our composite deck brand which is the “Envision” brand. They are universal so should work with multiple brands. You can barely see them between the boards. They come with both the brackets and matching colored screws.

These are about half the price of others I have purchased locally, which adds up fast because you will go through these spacers pretty quick, it took me twice as many as I originally thought. The difference between these and the others I have purchased from Home Depot are the screws are not stainless steel, which makes no difference to me as our deck is covered. The other difference is these do not include a spacer/screw guide which makes installation much easier. I was able to use one of the spacers/screw guides that came with my locally purchased fasteners. For me these were a real money saver, and I would buy them again. 5 STARS
