I got the analog version of this battery tester thinking it would be easier to read and generally more reliable. The build quality is pretty cheap, the metal is thin (handle was bent) and the meter has a crack in it. The meter was not centered on zero so I tried to use the adjustment screw to get it there but the best I was able to do was get it to 2 volts. I could bump the meter and adjust it up or down but it seemed to want to settle there.I tried this unit on a known weak battery first and when the test switch was toggled the meter dropped to the bad zone as expected. I then tried on a good battery and the needle stayed in the good range. My opinion is that this is a low cost way to get an idea if a battery is failing but it is by no means an accurate test instrument.

Testeur de batterie très mal emballé (emballage abîmé) et poigner du testeur soudée en mauvaise position.Mais fonctionne parfaitement.

Used this to test motorcycle batteries on some bikes that had been sitting for a bit. Worked pretty good to get a quick read on what condition they were in, but seems like this is way bigger than it needs to be. Weighs a fair amount and takes up a good amount of space in a pack or saddlebag. Definitely more of a 'leave in the shop' type of gear than a 'carry it with you to the site' kind of thing. No complaints about it other than that, price is reasonable and display is bright and easy to read (at least on the LCD version).
