Great vest. Heavy. I’ve had a couple accidents on horseback in the last two years, so this vest will help protect me and bring back some of my confidence.

This vest is comfortable and doesn't ride up on me, but comes down far enough in the back to protect my spine. I am a 38D, so I ordered an XL. It fits well without being too constricting. It is hot to wear, especially here in Florida, but any vest would be. The laced up sides help with ventilation.

This doesn’t have as much padding as I expected so I don’t know how much it would really help if you fell!

I just got this vest, so I will update after I ride or Fall ;..( Anyway, the first thing I can tell you is I had the very pricey Tipperary vest but I like the fabric on this one better and I think it will hold up better., other than that they are pretty much designed the same.Fits nicely, it does come tied up tight on the sides so if you need to let it out for a better fit you may run out of lace length. I have the smallest bow knot on mine because I had to let it out a bit around my hips. that was my only complaint-they could have given you longer laces.

Seems like it will do what it’s intended to do at a better price than bigger brands.I initially bought a M but exchanged for a S.I’m about 5’7” and 125 pounds.The S is a more snug fit (what I wanted) and the back is a little shorter.The longer back still has a tendency to hit the cantle at times but I’ll get used to it since I bought the vest for protection and that longer back definitely would protect my spine all the way down in a worst case scenario.

…well, mostly. Worthy of a five star review. Very comfortable but would recommend using longer side laces- by shipping it with sides laced tightly with a neat bow snug at the bottom means there isn’t really enough slack to adjust the side lacing open and still tie it off. My wife (Nat’l Endurance Champ) and I look forward to using the vests on our rugged mountain trails, we’ll just have to get longer boot laces first to make the vests fit properly. I would definitely recommend these vests- quality construction and super light weight. Once we get the ensemble together I’ll post photos. UPDATE: With the addition of longer laces the vests fit perfectly. XL= 84” laces, M=72” laces. NEWER UPDATE AND REASON FOR OWNING THE VEST: I was violently thrown by my horse last November when we were attacked by homeless people camping on the trail. If I hadn't had the vest (and helmet) on I would likely be dead- crushed sternum, broken ribs, punctured lungs were avoided by wearing the vest. Good job, excellent vest!
