A Set Screw is a type of screw generally used to secure an object within or against another object. Set screws are most often headless, meaning that the screw is fully threaded and has no head projecting past the major diameter of the screw thread. The set screw passes through a threaded hole in the outer object and is tightened against the inner object to prevent it from moving relative to the outer object.

I dropped the set screw from one of my end mill holders. I believe it went into an alternate universe. I ordered the Hillman product to replace the lost unit and have a few extra on hand. Works great.

Had a set-screw on my pulley break in the pulley, the easy-out broke (Such a nice day with China) so I had to drill and drill and drill till I had a HUGE HOLE in the pulley, Had to tap the hole at 7/16-20 I had a hell of a time and couldn't find anything I had to fit that as a set-screw. So I took to the internet and found this little beauty, Works great holds right tight like it should!
