A Set Screw is a type of screw generally used to secure an object within or against another object. Set screws are most often headless, meaning that the screw is fully threaded and has no head projecting past the major diameter of the screw thread. The set screw passes through a threaded hole in the outer object and is tightened against the inner object to prevent it from moving relative to the outer object.

Wanted a screw for my toilet paper holder. Moved to a new place where it was missing. This fits it exactly. Couldn’t find it anywhere else, not at home hardware, nor at home depot. There are more than I need but I got what I wanted and saved money on a new toilet paper holder. :)

I don't normally write reviews for products I like but rarely do for products that are exceptional and greatly surpass my expectations, like these set screws. I initially bought three gas blocks for three rifles, all from the same company(big S on the side) and same model and all using set screws instead of a clamp. The set screws that came with the gas blocks were poorly machined, soft metal, and weak overall because my hex bits would start strip out these set screws at 20 inch lbs when I was trying to reach 25 inch lbs and some screws were different sized Allen heads. However, these 10/32x1/4" set screws are greatly machined and strong. A good hex bit fitted snuggly into the screw and I reached 25in lbs of torque easily, no slipping or stripping, which is impressive for a screw this small

Strangely enough, these are better than the same Hillman fasteners they sell at Lowe’s. The box they come in is awful though, you’ll be lucky if half of them don’t leak out
