I ordered the product for an old sewing machine from 1960s. That still in working order except for the power strip with foot petal, I ordered this one and I hooked it up when it came. Very difficult to find a "sweet spot" with this pedal.It's all or nothing. I've tried to adjust it, but that doesn't work.

My vintage White brand machine pedal had an old fraying cord. I bought this pedal just for the cable, and switched the two so I could still use my old pedal with a new cable. It worked flawlessly the first try. It was a bit difficult to do the switch, but manageable. I would have just used the new pedal for sewing, but it is a very thin metal and isn't variable speed (just one speed when you press it down), and I like the ability to sew slowly for my projects. All in all it was worth buying this for the cable and light/motor outlet box.

I have a sewing machine that’s over 100 years old. The cord was not safe, and I needed a replacement. When I saw I could buy a new cord and foot pedal I was excited! However, seeing the foot pedals thin cheap metal compared to the retro foot pedals heavy thick metal made me sad. The speed variability that people have been talking about is also a problem. The speed was either fast or faster. I realized, that I could change the cord out and still keep my old foot pedal... since the voltage was the same. I’m not an electrician... and I can’t recommend you do it since electricity is a dangerous thing... but it seems just about as easy as changing an outlet. So I took both foot pedals apart and was able to change out the old wire. I am so happy to have a safe wire, and my old retro footpedal. This product made that possible!

I inherited a Necchi sewing machine which I knew nothing about. After a few years it stopped working. After researching my machine I bought this part. I now have a working foot pedal and light. It works as good as the original part that came with the machine.

Great buy. My wife loves it. Easy install. My wife is not that mechanically inclined and installed it on her grandmothers Morse Dress Maker with ease which was almist indenticalThe pedal is not as substantial as the almost 60 year old pedal, but works with ease and she control the speed and is whipping through items for our grandson.
