The rebuild didn't work for me. The repair shop told me, if you don't have an ultra sonic cleaner tub to clean those tiny passages; the rebuild may be useless. Best bet is to have them rebuild it or replace the carb yourself. After market carbs are cheap.

I have a 30 year old Stihl FS86 Handlebar style string trimmer that has been losing its ummmph. I suspected it needed a rebuild but when it didn't start this spring..... I tried a carb kit. WOW!!! This is a great rebuild kit to keep on hand. A lot of times you only need one item out of this kit in order to get your carb back in working order. The price of this kit makes it cost wise to do so rather than paying the high price of OEM rebuild kits just to use one or two items out of them.

I've got a Stihl 024AV Wood Boss chainsaw I bought about 1988. Every year when I use it, I'd drain the remaining fuel out of the tank and run the saw dry. The original Walbro carb lasted me 32 years without any further attention! This year though, it would bog down and die when you tried to put it under load or rev up the throttle.I checked the fuel line and the impulse lines, then ordered this kit. Granted, the kit here covers multiple carburetors and configurations, so I only used four parts out of it, but it was still (stihl?) a bargain. Cleaned the carb, installed the new fuel diaphragm and gaskets, and away we go. Starts on the first pull and runs like a top again. Best part was I got the parts I needed the next day for a 30+ year old saw without spending my day driving to dealers looking for an overpriced solution.

It's a straight forward rebuild kit. It has parts for a variety of carbs and it rebuilt my Husqvarna 455 rancher saw carberator.
