This thing doesn’t even deserve one Star. Stars are supposed to be an accolade and this product deserves no accolades. Not one. The reason for that is because this product does not hold onto the bit tightly. It doesn’t hold on to any bit at all. It seems tight but when you start using it, the bit comes out no matter how tight you have it. The spin locking mechanism that is used to change out. Bitts is a very poorly designed metal button that is too small for your thumb to properly push it in, while tightening or un-tightening the Colette screw. It’s not even really a button. It’s like one of those spring loaded pop out mechanism buttons that you would see on like a keyboard stand or the polls to a canopy or tent something that changes sizes in increments. I bought cheaper rotary tools on Amazon that have far out performed this dangerous device. I was grinding quartz with a metal diamond plated Drum bit and it just about took my thumb off when the bit quickly came out and Immediately bent with absolutely no warning. It’s somehow hit me in my stomach with it still spinning and tangled up in my shirt. Now I got a badly bruised thumb that’s gone numb and I’m bleeding from the stomach. I’ve dealt with bits loosening and coming out many many times but this time it happened in the blink of an eye. I mean an instant. It was so fast I didn’t even know what it hit me or what happened. All I know is, I will never be buying high-spec Anything ever again as it pains me to type this message. I think I will lose my thumbnail from this as I noticed it turning blue already. I never write reviews about anything, but this time I felt truly compelled to warn people of the dangers of this stupidly designed machine. You’re better off going with a WEN Rotary tool for $16 on Amazon. As far out performed an outlasted this hunk of junk toy posed as a tool. It is absolutely useless. I tried using it several times and every single time the bit would not stay in the Colette. Incidentally, I just received a brand new bag of Colettes that have worked in every other tool. I’ve tried. So I was using a brand new Colette never been used before And it’s still wouldn’t hang onto a bit Even though I was using pliers instead of that tiny wrench in order to tighten down the Colette screw. I was also using another rock to hold the button down because my thumb is not rigid enough to hold down the tiny button. So even though I was working through the poorly designed button that locks the rotation, so you can unscrew the cool screw, and even though I compensated by overtightening the crap out of it it’s still wouldn’t hold onto the bit. now parts of the bit in me and I’m highly annoyed. This product should be discontinued because it needs to go back to the drawing board. It’s dangerous.

Very powerful, uses the same chuck as a Dremel and comes with a decent box of accessories. Gives early impression of being robust and has a reasonable length of power cord. Good value

Lots of extras..stands up well against the more expensive rotary tools. Great price. I really was looking forward to using the extension adapter as my hands get tired when carving but during my first use the adapter melted the plastic and then the cable that turns the adapter came apart. It got way too hot during light use. Hopefully the actual tool holds up and don't crap out like the extension adapter did. Overall so far it's looking like it's gonna work just fine.

IF you have loads of decent Dremel bits but don't wish to replace your expensive unit, this is a good buy. The tool itself is decent and works well enough will Dremel bits. The bits that come with this are shockingly terrible (hence the price) so if you're buying from scratch you will need to buy the Dremel bits you require separately to get the job done. That probably works out cheaper I guess??

Nice little tool. Works just as good as the higher dollar name brands.

Okay, to explain the colors on the photo:Red: the detailer on the slowest speed had a habit of cutting too deep, too fast, getting off track (mainly used the cone shaped metal tip for deeper designs) and borderline destroying the design (later used the pink tipped cone attachment to blend edges)Yellow: the detailer tip I first used (skinny metal one with a slight twist on the tip) was too shallow and only imprinted the foam, the next one didn't handle turns very well (the metal one that resembles a pencil tip)Blue: the tip I used often got stuck and suffered a lot of melted foam which caused extra clean up time (the pencil-like tip was used here)With that explanation done, my main issues were heavy product build up on the attachments which I had to scrub off with a baking soda paste and a toothbrush. Most of them were saved, but the pink tip sander one is still stained black and feels like the abrasion is already worn so I might just need to replace that altogether. These issues with the tip cutting too deep, getting off track and product build up happened on the lowest setting but foam is more delicate than plastic for a melting point and the directions insist to use lower speeds to avoid melting products such as plastic. The product itself is nice, lots of attachments and sander pieces, foam tips too and the brush attachment is so helpful for getting things ready to paint. The directions on changing the tips was confusing at first but I got it once I realized the flared out black cap was meant to twist off first. Also, if you're confused still after that you just need to hold down the metal button while turning the black nut to add the attachments that are smaller, the bigger ones get added right to the nut and you put the flare screw back on.

Awesome tool for the money. Tried the flex tip as well as the thing that is in the picture to try to get some engraving on a cutting board for my wife. Worked awesome! I will say definitely expect an inexpensive quality, but for the money it is great! Giving 5 stars because it is exactly what you should expect for the money and does what it needs to:-)

I brought one of these to replace a well-used Draper multi-tool, which was quite literately starting to fall to bits and an faulty Aldi version, which the store it was brought from refused to replace. There appear to be several brands selling very similar looking tools and I suspect they are all made in the same factory. This was one of the cheapest and it was interesting to see where the cost cuttings had been made.First off you *don't* get a carry case. Supplied instead is a cardboard box with the tool, a case of accessories (as pictured) and a zip-lock bag containing what is essentially a brief safety leaflet. The tool itself is middling; it lacks torque but makes up for that with rotational speed. No additional brushes are provided although there are ports to access them. I suspect replacements won't be that hard to find.Centering is about right, given the price and I had no problem making some fairly accurate cuts in thin solid aluminum tubing. One thing that annoyed me slightly though was the use of collets to hold the accessories. Three of differing size are provided although I would have much preferred a drill-style chuck. The largest of them is needed for the majority of the accessories but I found it was a tight fit. It's made of brass so no doubt will loosen a little with use.As for the accessories, these are cheap but I found the sanding drums of a higher than expected quality. The cut off discs on the other hand are *not* reinforced and are shockingly thin. I lost two in short order, once when trying to get the holder with disc mounted into the tight collet and another doing the reverse. On the other hand when used properly they were surprisingly effective and as previously mentioned made short work of the aluminum.I also tested two of the grinding stones, they are of the fine-grade type and both in appearance and effectiveness the same as every other cheap multi-tool stone I've tried. Other than that two things which annoyed me slightly was the omission of grinding discs, something which Draper provides and which can prove to be very useful, and the annoying tendency of the smaller sanding drums to block the closing of the accessory case. These though are pretty minor niggles.Overall you get what you pay for; I needed it in a hurry but will continue to use it. It's fine for light DIY and accurate enough for modeling work and the compatibility with Dremel accessories (which I didn't test) should allow the user to overcome the shortcomings with some of the accessories. Just go easy on it and don't treat it as a high-torque drill.
