This well designed (almost) alarm/beeper delivered way more than I expected. It is heavy, well constructed and is weatherproof. It is also MUCH heavier than I was expecting. During testing on my workbench I was truly surprised at how loud this is. Wow…Since there are two alarms included, I have installed one on our powered drive gate. It is triggered anytime the gate is open. We can hear this anywhere over our 1 acre property. Very pleased.The next step is to install the other one on the back-up light system on our large truck. I have needed this feature for a long time and am glad I found this product.My only negative would be that the positive and negative terminals are not protected in any way. I am not happy with having an exposed 12 volt positive terminal/wire/connector. Chances are this will never be a problem but I will apply some type of sealant/cover/tape over the positive connector…it will just make me feel better.Regardless of my one negative, I would recommend this back-up alarm for your “larger” vehicles.

This is a good price point for a set of two. Very easy to install, with minimal knowledge of electricity. Unit works as described, and is loudly audible.

Got these to use as alarms due to a few people who seem to can't get the hint from the no trespassing signs. I have these hooked up to laser trips so when they walk through it goes off for a minute. Man, first time I tested it it was louder than I anticipated. First time it went off for real, I saw the neighbor's "up to no good" kid booking it while my other neighbors started looking around wondering what's going on. Two things you want, to startle someone who don't belong there, and to get others wondering and looking around. Oh, it'll work for a forklift, and we got more expensive ones at work, and these are on par with them.

These backup alarms are very loud. They are somewhere between the standard Echo backup alarm and an upgraded high decibel backup alarm. They look well made, but require two wires. The competition has a grounding plate that grounds itself to the chassis. Not a big deal, just something to be aware of when replacing an existing backup alarm.
