Modern day cars of the last I guess 20 years just the right size for most wiring on automobiles today I'm very pleased I'm a backyard mechanic and I rewire cars all the time install extra lights on my pickup trucks my trailers my cars and use these combination heat shrink solder joint and waterproofing glue combinations a couple times a week. Recommend, yes.

These are a perfect fit between the red and blue connectors. If you use these, you already know that they work better than most other connector options out there. If you haven't used these before, then get on the splicing wagon and give em a ride. You won't be disappointed.

Working with these connectors is easy and the result is very reliable. It is advisable to use an electric heat gun for shrinking and melting the connector, but in an emergency you can also use a cigarette lighter. However, this is not good and a professional electrician knows to avoid it because an open flame is too hot and the result will be without guarantee. I also recommend coating the ends of the wires very lightly with soldering paste before installation, which will ensure a really high-quality connection.I have been using these fusible connectors for a long time and always with satisfactory results. True, it is necessary to keep the equivalent gauge of a wire - of a connector.

I had no idea these existed prior to ordering, what a change in how my employees repair cable! They solder in securely and then seal around it nicely. Great materials, very consistent.

I used these to connect LED strip leads to long large wires for roof lighting on my house. They worked well when connecting from 14AWG to 20AWG led wires, with enough shrink to get the smaller wire, while still fitting over the larger one. The solder melted pretty quick with my heat gun.
