These work great if you have enough sunlight. I have 2 installed on cameras, neither of which has batteries installed, and they run great. Because of partial shade, I swap them for a freshly charged unit about once a year; much better than having to change batteries every month or two.

We have been using this for 6 months and it works great. The only problem we have with using it on our browning cameras is that the cord can get pulled out from squirrels or raccoons climbing. Fixed that by zip-tie the cord to the post or tucking it in the strap on the tree.

Within 4 months this stopped holding a charge and will not recharge from either solar or a USB collection.Total junk!

One of the two Sol-Paks I purchased quit working approximately 1 week after the return/exchange window. The charge capacity went bad. I can fully charge it at home, place it back on the camera post and hook it up, it's dead within a few hours. I contacted HME support via email, no response. I'd recommend going a different route.

i bought this to keep my cell cam powered; the batteries die quickly as the unit sees a lot of activity and this keeps it running all day and night!

I've had the solar panel out for about a month, in a wide open hay field. It never gave the camera a full charge, but it got the job done with half charge. The last week it has been reading no charge, even on sunny days. So now I have a useless solar panel. I could have spent less on batteries.
