7018 Welding Electrodes - Size 1/16 - 1LB. A low-hydrogen electrode for use in all positions on low, medium and high-carbon steels. 70,000 PSI tensile strength. Ideal for out-of-position welding and tacking. Runs on AC or DCEP (reverse) polarity. Not recommended for low-voltage AC welders.

These are OK rods, they burned pretty cleanly. I like them better than forney but not as much as the welding supply store house rods, which burn really clean. Never tried excalibur so not sure how they compare to those. Restarts were easy enough. If buying only 1lb, beware it really won't go that far, but you probably know that if youre buying welding rods.

Got new stick welder and only had 120v and wanted some thinner rod. Great way to weld thin metal and not blow thru.

Such tiny welds!!! I've never done such small and specific welding using stick. Good burn, good puddle, good electrode. They burn pretty quick, so that took a bit of getting used to. 2-3 times faster that 1/8 7018. Great product, reasonable price, pretty fun to play around with.

These are fine welding rods. It's hard to weld thin materials with stick, these do an ok job but your are probably better off with some 3/32 6013, low penetration.
