This installs around the post of the Hobie mast extension inside the kayak. Great solution! You can also screw two together around the same post back to back if you prefer to double the battery power.

Easy to install on my Hobie PA 12. Does not fit in the rear hatch due to skeg pocket. However easily mounted to sail pole in the hull with easy access from the front hatch (under the tub).

Bought this for a Hobie Outback 2017 and it fits great. I was missing a screw for the install but that was an easy fix and I'm not going to retract any stars for that.

The first Hobie battery holder I purchased for my fist Hobie was purchased with the battery made for the holder. The holder is great but the battery was dead after two months even though was trickle charged properly with a good charger. This mount was purchased for my second Hobie without a battery and I purchased a great battery with great reviews and although it is a bit more powerful, it is a tight fit but the holder does work well with it.

This thing works great. The only real "issue" with the design is how it binds up if the holder is in a twist & seal hatch the wrong way. There is a correct orientation and an incorrect orientation. If you don't get it right, you can lock the hatch, but trying to unlock it may break your hatch handle. Just be sure you get that right, and this thing is fantastic.
