This grip should be the OEM grip, absolutely great size and texture!

Took about two minutes to read instructions and install. Fit is good and feels great in my hand. Installed on a S&W Lipseys 632UC JFrame.

This grip was quite difficult to install on my Smith & Wesson 351c but once it snapped into place the fit is excellent! Also a better grip than the stock ‘boot’ grip in that there’s a palm swell, and an easy to grip rubber texture. Very happy with this grip!

The pros are that it protects your pointer finger from the trigger guard. The stock grip doesn't and it hurts to shoot. I have a very small j-frame with a lot of recoilThe only problem is that it snaps on instead of having a screw. You have to use a little shim that comes with the kit to open the gap and slide it on until it snaps in. This leaves a little gap between the back of the grip and the gun handle. It look bad. That's all.

Just looking at the grip, I didn't expect anything notable. Just another rubber grip. I was wrong. I just wanted a smaller, more concealable grip than what was on my S&W 360. This fit the bill and was inexpensive, so I gave it a try. I was surprised to find that the grips are very comfortable and absorb the recoil of full bore 357 quite well. The "pebble" texture on the grips works very well and keeps the gun stuck to my palm. The installation was straight forward and simple. I have only put about 50 rounds through the revolver since putting the grips on, but so far the fastener-less method of installation has not shifted or loosened. Overall, I am surprisingly pleased with the grips. As long as you are looking for a set of concealable utilitarian grips, I don't think you could find a better set at a better price.

Outstanding grip for a S&W 442. I just purchased this new revolver for my wife and immediately decided to change the grips to a Hogue, as they have always served me well. The Hogue has a more friendly texture and the additional indentation for the strong hand middle finger makes a huge difference, especially for a smaller hand. The .38 spl is a nippy round for a lightweight handgun and any extra grip traction is welcomed.A footnote: the latest 442 factory two-piece grips are held in place with a hex screw, which is not shown in the Hogue instructions...a H3/32 bit fits perfectly. The new grip is quite pliable, so installing it is a breeze. The little "tool" will help. but is not necessary. However, Keep the "tool", as it will be valuable for removing the Hogue grip for internal cleaning later on. It is easy to slip the grip pins into the internal guide grooves and rotate the grip upward. It snaps in place as per the instructions and the grip fits the gun seamlessly and looks terrific.I highly recommend this upgrade to your 442.
