Hands down the best grip I have had installed on my 5.5" Ruger Super Blackhawk (round trigger gaurd). The grip is the right size for my hands and the revolver is rock solid when shooting my maxed out hunting loads. Installation was not difficult, took a couple of tries for get the screw to catch the retainer loop...had them on correctly with about 10 minutes of patience.

Hard to install. The seller neglected to inform us that a pin in the gripframe needed to be removed. Once installed, it was more comfortable and allowed better control if the New Ruger Blackhawk.

I have purchased 2 of these. The first fit my New Model BlackHawk 357 like a glove. It makes the revolver hand fit 100% better. Love it. The second is for was for my Vaquero 45 and the fit is not as good. It still makes my hand fit the grip much better just wish the fit was better. I don't think I have big hands but this grips are great.

Exactly what a ruger blackhawk 45colt/45acp requires. Factory grips too short, you cannot get a firm grip unless you have small hands, without that painful to fire. The Hogue adds the small finger in length, a massive improvement in control and feel. When installing go to youtube and look, find the one where a used ear plug and a couple of business cards assist in the install, you will not be sorry.

HOGUE Rubber Grip 83000 fits Ruger Wrangler nicely, providing full hand grip and better control. Installation is moderately simple with use of credit cards to help slide grip into position (YouTube videos available). Tightening screw, at grip’s bottom, completes mounting and closes gaps.I’m very pleased with the results.

Youtube videos show it effortlessly sliding onto the frame..Yeah no. Couldn't get it on to save my life. It was lined up correctly. Maybe you need to lube it to get it on? Doesn't tell you in the instructions to do that. Maybe just a defective one I guess. Returned. Needed some shock absorption because of wrist surgery. I went with sock in palm of fingerless glove method instead.

First I recommend that you vist the Hoguestore website. At the top of their page they have a Knowledgebase tab, click on this. Enter your model information or choose from the menue. It will list all of their grips and the models they fit, along with photos and help questions asked by other customers. I wanted the Rubber grips for my New model .357 Blackhawk with 6 1/2 inch barrel which also has a 9mm cylinder. The Part number given on the Hogue site is 83000 for the correct grip for this model. Amazon part number is also 83000.This will fit the new XR3 frame with 1/2 inch wide grip frame, round trigger guard. This frame has 2 screws above the trigger guard on the frame, as opposed to the 3 screws on the old model XR3 frames. This grip 83000 will not fit the old XR3 frame. Why they decided to print instruction on blue paper will always be a mystery to me. They must have had a sale on blue paper and Hogue bought it all. The grip went on pretty easy. After you remove the old grips you have to install the stirrup over the bottom of the frame. When you put the retaining pin back into the stirrup make sure you squeeze the stirrup together, otherwise the pin will loosen and may fall out when you insert and tighten the bottom mounting screw. Next pull the grip open a little and align the frame pin on the bottom of the frame with the internal grooves of the monogrip. You have to hold the frame on a dowmward angle as shown in the instructions. Slide the frame into the grip making sure that the stirrup is in its groove. Here's a tip, as you slide the grip onto the frame make sure the lip of the grips don't fold inward towards the frame, otherwise you'll be left with gaps between the frame and grip. I used a small very thin blade flathead screwdriver and some KY lubricant and carefully ran this along the grip/frame seam while seating it together. Tighten the screw at the bottom of the grips and your done. It took 20 minutes start to finish. Grips fit perfectly, and look and feel great. It's like having a new gun.
