I expected better audio clarity from a product at this price point, but the sound came across as muffled and occasionally distorted. It’s simply not reliable if crisp audio is a priority for you.

We use these for easy communication between camera operators and the director for our multi-cam video streaming productions. Comfortable, good battery life, and only the slightest lag which hasn't been a problem. A reasonable price (bought the 5 set) and the sound quality seems good. Just need to stop the camera operator chatting too much now!

Recomiendo

I first bought the pair and they worked out very well for me, then I bought the one that comes alone, which is the remote and they wouldn't pair until I downloaded the official firmware from the page and updated the 3, there I paired the 3 solidcom se without any problem, so far I am very happy with the purchase.. Excellent work Hollyland

I bought the Hollyland Solidcom SE Global Version headset recently, and I’m super impressed! It’s such a solid product, especially for the price. You don’t have to spend a fortune to get clear, reliable communication. The sound quality is amazing—clear and loud enough even in noisy environments. The noise cancellation works really well too, so people can hear me perfectly. It’s super light and comfy, which is a big deal when you’re wearing it for hours. I almost forget it’s on!Battery life is awesome. I’ve used it for long work sessions, and it didn’t need charging. Setting it up was super easy—just plug it in, and you’re good to go. The connection is strong with no dropouts, which is exactly what I needed. One thing I really love is that it’s water-resistant. As a wedding photographer, I’m often outdoors—sometimes in light rain, and other times when the bride and groom do a champagne shower (which can get messy!). Knowing the headset can handle that without any issues is such a relief.for the price, this headset is a steal. Great quality, easy to use, and affordable—what more can you ask for? Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good communication headset.

Just had to shoot video for a wedding along with two other people and let me tell you the changed the game for us. We were able to clearly communicate from almost anywhere in the venue without any signal dropouts.

I can’t keep my hands off of cool tech, so I decided to try out this wireless intercom set (it’s the 2-pack version). While it’s cool to have something like this to communicate on projects around the house or outside, it has some notable strengths and weaknesses. Still, it’s overall a well-built system that can be used reliably, especially for event planning and management. The main point is that it lets you use full-duplex communication (yes, you can talk over each other) on wireless headsets, something that comes in handy for things like event coordination, team projects, and productions for stage or film. The ENC (noise cancellation) helps voices sound relatively clear and the set feels like it’s well-made and lightweight. Plus: it has a rechargeable battery system as well as a USB-C port which you can use to charge it—even while using it—and a hidden feature here is that you could get your own USB-C to TRS (3.5mm) connector to add in a 3.5mm mic if you prefer which is great for those of us who might prefer different style mics at times. Here some other things that I noticed when I paid closer attention to the headset features:First: if you didn’t realize, the SE is for the “Single Ear” design. This is necessary for live events where you need an open ear to respond to your environment, but obviously is going to reduce the sound experience compared to dual-ear headsets (which are better suited for situations where you want to focus on the speaker/headset noise and NOT the outside noise).Second: it uses 2.4Ghz which…is particularly prone to congestion in many network heavy environments (like a smart home in a crowded city). Still it balance range and compatibility, allowing for quite a long distance (1100ft/350m in open space) and has an auto-frequency hopping feature to mitigate the interference.Third: it’s water resistant, but not quite water proof. They say it’s resistance comes from the internal protective paint which can handle rain or damp conditions, but I’m not really sure how much rain it could really handle given that it’s not designed for heavy exposure to water. It’s just hard to tell from the materials how worried I need to be, but it does appear to be fine in the rain provided you’re wearing a rain coat (which basically means the headset is covered.Fourth: while you can expand this to up to 5 total users (4 remote headsets, 1 Master headset) It’s a little bit of a bummer that you can’t group the headsets separately. Given that it maxes out at 5, grouping isn’t usually needed, but it lacks versatility here (both in the max number of users and the inability to use these headsets for groups that you might want to split up and then rejoin during something like team building activities or complicated film/stage productions, for example).Lastly: this system lacks some customization and control features that one might want or find in higher-end sets. Still, it manages to lack in some great features for what is essentially a plug-and-play system, including push-to-talk, mute, and environmental noise cancellation (ENC). Just don’t expect too much granular control.Overall, this is an excellent set for smaller groups and simple use-cases. I’m happy with it (well, it far exceeds my needs, but it’s been fun to play with and it will come in handy for future projects).Hope this helps!
