It fit my 2003 silver wing and it holds the seat up. Hope it lasts, it came in a official looking Honda plastic bag

It did not match the part number it claimed, was 3/4" shorter than original, I tried it anyway but it was not strong enough to hold the seat up.

Received OEM part and it worked like new. Very easy to replace and was happy to see the seat stay up when open. Highly recommended.
