There is a Honda service bulletin for this part, so I went with OEM. It was a bit pricey, but did the job and took 15 minutes to change.

Original part started leaking around 200k miles. Only noticed when my alternator went out after being saturated with oil. Original part "warps" just enough to not seal properly with new gaskets. Unbolt top section(3 bolts) and replace/use gaskets, plate, upper section and the new bolts. DO NOT REMOVE OR REPACE BOTTOM SECTION THATS ATTECHED TO ENGINE. Worked perfectly.

This part fixes the oil leak issue which also takes out the alternator. It’s an OEM part, so quality is top notch and fits perfectly. My rule with Honda is to always use OEM parts when possible.

Mi honda Odyssey 2009 tenía fuga de aceite por esta válvula y estaba dañando el alternador, intenté cambiando los empaque internos que conseguí acá en Amazon pero aúnque detuvieron el escape me mostro el check engine con el código P3497 el mecánico me dijo que para cambiar esta válvula tocaba desarmar nuevamente la tapa de válvulas y un poco más( trabajo que habíamos hecho una semana atrás) por lo cual debía pagar de nuevo. Pero también me dió la opción de cambiar la parte superior de la válvula junto con sus empaque originales y que la base de la válvula continuará sin cambiar, así lo hicimos, tardamos 15 minutos y hasta el momento después de 3 meses funciona muy bien , adiós luz de motor

Great seller! I bought this and didn't need it after all, the seller was super awesome about the return just had to pay the return shipping. On another note i thought i needed this after i replaced the gasket between the valve assembly, it ended up being the torque on the bolts that hold the assembly together. Got check engine light, code p3497, p0302,p0304, and p0300, the car had low throttle and bad performance all because of the inaccurate torque on the bolts. Honda dealership couldn't fix or figuer out the problem and took me 2 weeeks of researching the way the valve works to figuer out the over thigh bolts was causing a pressure issue. Hope this helps someone out there.
