I took a chance on buying a returned kit to replace my old fan kit, which had a bad controller. When I replaced the entire kit, the returned fan started making excessive noise after an hour of use. I thought that it might have been vibration related, but when I removed it, it was just as loud.Fortunately, my old fan still worked, so I put it back in and kept the returned controller and thermostat. Now, everything works like it should. I'm not returning anything, since the price I paid was worth getting the controller and thermostat.

I bought one of these for my outdoor and indoor fireplaces. They are good. Easy install. I’d use some padded double stick tape to mount to reduce vibration which in a ventless metal box can reverberate. Ideally I’d like it to blow stronger for the outdoor application but I tell you that it’ll cook you out for the indoor fireplace. Saves money indoors. I hear the whole house (24 foot ceilings) easily. Recommend!!

Fit in our old housing. Works great so far, and was the right price!

My husband installed this in under an hour start to finish. It works perfectly. It helps so much with our wood burning fireplace. It puts heat out into the house

I have a Enviro Empress pellet stove. The blower motor has been making noise for some time but the cost of the blower motor for that stove was $277.00 to 289.00. I was hesitant to pay that much so I didn't until the noise was unbearable. I kept looking and eventually saw this motor listed on Amazon for far less. In the description it didn't list this blower as fitting the Empress stove but it looked and measured identical so I bought it. And it fit perfectly, the holes on the blower even lined up with the mounting bracket. 15 minutes later I have a perfectly working pellet stove again. If you have and Empress you can get this blower for far less.

This is a nice blower and motor for the price. Works as designed. The blower does make a bit of noise but that's going to exist regardless of how much you spend for it. The very nature of "squirrel cage" blowers dictates that you will hear it. One additional thing to note on "your installation" is the design of the area where the blower will be installed. Mine had screws sticking out from the back wall that I had to cut off with a Dremal otherwise the fan would not sit flush against the back wall. Also the "floor" of the metal enclosure was not flat so the rubber noise insulators supplied with this kit were not think enough to compensate for the convex bulge of the floor. I ended up using scraps of 1/4" thick rubber on either end of the squirrel cage to lift it high enough so the center did not contact. These are some of the things you may encounter when doing an install.

Bought this last fall and it works great! The wires for the control were a little short, less that 3', which meant the switch would need to be very close to the blower. For me, this would mean near the floor by the fireplace - not where I want or need the switch. The heat sensor seems to be sensitive enough, but need to watch where it's placed. I had it on the firebox where there wasn't any firebrick and the wiring got very hot. Too hot in my opinion. Moved it to where a fire brick was and it works just fine. Just a little longer of a delay while the firebox comes up to temp.Fairly easy to install if you have basic electrical knowledge. There are instructions which were just fine for giving the gist of the install. It does come with a power cord, but direct wired through the rheostat switch and it does fine. Only it doesn't seem to have any speed control - simply on or off.
