If the Jeep is black or the bumper is that black plastic, these will make the headlamps pop while making the trim disappear into the grill. The paint is matte and pretty thick so the screw tightening shouldn't damage the finish enough to restart the rust issue common on the OEM one

I bought these to replace the OEM chrome retainer rings for my white 2010 Jeep JK Unlimited Sport. I was upgrading to Morimoto Sealed 7 2.0 LEDs with a new black grille and wanted to eliminate the chrome. These Hooke Road retainer rings do not fit around the new LED headlights, (very close, but a bit too small). I went back and checked and they also do not fit around the OEM headlights. The tabs do line up with the headlight bucket and the finish is pretty good, but since they don't fit around the headlight they are pretty much useless......

They didn't quite fit the standard. Sent back unfortunately. Being honest just did not want to push the fit and ruin the product.

I am in the process of getting all the chrome off my JK. This product was great, it fit right in place. No modification was needed. A 12-year-old could install them. looks great on jeep I am very happy with this product.

While changing my headlights on a 2008 Wrangler JK I broke a tab off of both rings. These arrived quickly and were an exact fit.

Needed some black rings to go with my new headlights. These worked great, fit a little snug but no issues.

As the other reviewers said, I think they had a massive bad batch recently, do not buy until the seller corrects that. I even tried with lubricant it just won't fit at all, I returned it. I decided to paint my original chrome bracket with tremclad instead, honestly no one will know.

Purchased because chrome ring was rusting. It wasn’t as difficult to replace as I thought other than the ring itself as very snug. But they look great! Much better in black.

I like that they're matte black, and sturdy. Much better than the stock retainers.

Finish - Others have complained about the finish on these but mine appeared to look just fine.Quality - In all honesty, I was expecting a cheap flimsy bracket (as flimsy or flimsier than the OEM). Instead I received some solid mounts that appear to be built well.Fit - Fit was excellent. These were used on top of Eyourlife's LED headlights and fit well.Overall - I would recommend these to others as they are priced well and fit excellent.

Not much to say. They fit great as my cheap after market ones with two verticle bars were rusting apart, actually crumbling. These seem to be much higher quality and cheaper.

**Review for the Opar 7-inch Round Headlight Mounting Bracket 2-pk - manufacturer #X00165FT01**I love my Jeep, but there are a few parts on it that well, just suck. The mounting brackets around the headlights are one of them. Mine have rusted within a year and looked horrible next to my new LED headlights. This product puts the finishing touch on any headlight mod. The quality is much better than the OEM aluminum and they are black. Sold ring, no gap at the bottom. Perfect fit for my 2016 JKU.Get all 4 screws started then tighten down for a perfect fit. If you do not have a T15 torx, you can use an allen ('L') wrench. I have a crap-ton of them from other products I put together over the years. There aren't many inexpensive upgrades for Jeeps but this one is a must for the $16 cost.
