Makes using bore snakes easier. Few sprays down the barrel followed by the bore snakes cleans everything well.

In my opinion, you never can go wrong with Hoppe's products. They have been around for a long time and have been proven to be reliable. There are many products out there, but I believe Hoppe's is a trusted brand

This is the best bore cleaner I have used. It works better than the liquid Hoppe's #9. A couple of sprays on a patch and then a pass through the barrel is very impressive. It usually takes two or three patches to get the job done but that is still better than anything else I have tried. The only problem is that it is a small can - a 2oz size. Great for travel. But, I would like a larger size for home use.

I've used Hoppe's No. 9 and Break Free CLP. I wouldn't necessarily recommend one over the other. But I really like using my Hoppe's Bore Snake. The Bore Snake kit came with a can of aerosol solvent like this. It did seem to run out rather fast, but I guess the bottle is pretty small. If I used this solvent more often, I'd probably buy a bigger can. But this is the perfect size to fit in the elastic loop on my Bore Snake kit. The Bore Snake and this solvent, plus the bottle of Hoppe's lubricant (which doesn't run out near as fast) seem to do a great job, so I'll continue to buy this stuff as I need it.
