I would highly recommend this item. The horses love the 2 we bought. Just pay attention to the size of your horses head when buying.

The material is thicker than some of the other mask. It is a little longer on the nose, behind the ears and the jowl. I haven't had to walk the pasture ever day looking for the missing mask.

I would give a 4.5, but that's not an option. I love these fly masks as they fit my mare perfectly. Not too tight or too loose, and the eye mesh is thin so as to not poke her eyes, but also large enough to not press tight against them. The only improvements I would suggest are to reinforce the mesh ear tips or make it with a thicker mesh. Every time the first thing to rip are the ears, and she does not even have larger ears. The spandex material can also rip after a few weeks, but I also know my mare brushes her face against her legs and other things (fences, the side of the barn, her feeder, etc.), and the material is breathable, so I would hesitate to make it thicker in case that would then make it less stretchy and too tight. Overall, I think it's a good value. I like the UV protection, which is one of the main reasons I originally purchased this, but it fits well, is a nice color, and is a good price. I will continue to purchase more as my horse rips them up, haha.

This time of year is awful. The bugs are determined to land on the eyes, ears, face. They're annoying and my horses toss their heads in agony. These mask are comfortable, leave lots of eye room. Fit great under halters. Love the colors.

Our horse loves this mask but it is not sturdy. Has rips in it the first week she wore it. This is what it looks like after a short time of wear. So disappointed. I have to now buy sturdy y masks and throw these away.

I bought this for my quarter horse mare. The fabric is really nice, it’s a breeze to put on and take off. However, it fit her a bit too tight around the nose. I worried it would rub a sore so I gave it to a friend with a smaller horse. Next time I will order an extra large , if that is an option.

I like how the mask fits my horse, but it does not last well. I need about three per horse per year.
