Love how it keeps the pegs in place.

These doodads are intended to keep your pegboard hooks from falling out. They do a great job, far better than the plastic ones that came with my hooks. These are metal, sprung, and they fit perfectly.

These hooks hold my pegboard hooks in place securely. They work without modification on Masonite pegboard, but for metal pegboard the hooks at the ends of each of these hooks need to be bent outward with pliers before they are installed. When this is done, they work well and completely solved my problem of pegboard hooks coming out of the pegboard when I removed tools.

Don't you love rushing to your workbench to grab one of your perfectly organized tools only to have 3+ tools fall to the floor with their pegboard hooks still attached? Nothing more satisfying than having to spend more time reorganizing your fallen tools and pegboard attachments, than completing the task you set out to do. No more - I say! These retaining hooks really lock your pegboard attachments in place and are further complemented by the silicone plugs (available from many sellers on Amazon) used to make the 1/8" metal pegboard attachment fit tightly in your 1/4" or 5/16" pegboard holes. This combination is relatively inexpensive and is better than using hot glue to "permanently" mount your attachments.

Got these foe the husband to use in his workshop. HE said they work very well and accomplish what they were designed to do. However, they can be a little tricky to fit into the second hole. A little persuasion got it in though. He liked that as he feels these will not pop out on accident. Overall, a thoughtful idea executed well. He recommends them.

I tried these locks on a standard masonite pegboard with 1/4" holes, using both 1/8" and 1/4" diameter hooks. I found the hooks very easy to install: just slip in one side, then flex the lock a bit to get the other side in. A bit of wiggling may be necessary to seat the hook in both holes and center it properly on the hook.Unfortunately, it seems like these are just a little bit too narrow, as they pop out pretty easily. A slight tug on the hook (as when removing something which is hanging on the hook), and the lock pops out. This is especially true when using the larger 1/4" diameter hooks.I think if these were just a bit wider (maybe just a few more millimeters) they would hold on to both sides of the holes more securely and stay in place.
