I have a dressage saddle and do not want to add a crupper ring since I show in it. However, I wanted to use a crupper as it has shown to help with hind end engagement. I use one on my western saddle for work and trail rides and my horse carries himself nicely.I have been having trouble keeping engagement as we progress through the levels and introducing more complex movements that require more push from behind. With this crupper attachment, I can easily add my crupper for a lesson but then remove for a show. My hope is, that as I use this for our daily training, it will influence my horse to stay engaged and thus become habbit to carry himself better. I am not big on contraptions to fix an issue but to utilize a tool in order to communicate clearly what is required and influence the horse's way of going without fuss or argument. My horse is forward and moves freely and happily. Once it becomes habbit, I will only use it occasionally to help maintain. I use, the Equalizer crupper by Len Brown as it is never tight and auto adjusts as you ride. I love using it with my western saddle and now I can use it with my English using this crupper attachment.Unfortunately, this crupper flexed, folded and then popped out of place while riding. Luckily, my horse was tucking his tail and holding the crupper so that it didn't fall completely on the ground. This happened on rude #4. I expected to get more uses out of it as it ended up costing me $7.5/ride.

After having lost many cruppers in the field or out on the trail, I was skeptical that this little leather attachment would keep everything in place. It has now survived some 7+ mile rides, numerous trail rides and lots of naughty pony bucks without moving or giving any.
