For existing door configuration:
- The backset should be either 2-3/8'' or 2-3/4''.
- The distance from the hole center of exterior handle latch to bottom screw should be in between 7-11/16'' and 8-13/16''.

Tip:
- Exterior doors are typically 1 3/4-inches thick, while interior doors measure 1 3/8-inches thick.
- The handleset should be installed in doors of such thicknesses.

The product looks nice and sleek but once installed there's clinking sounds like something is loose. The big issue for me was the instruction was arrange incorrect and we almost give up and return it.

I am so happy that I finally came across this item. I have tried a couple others and couldn't get them to work on our door. This one is perfect! I love the features of being able to use whether the door opens from the right or the left and the option of being able to adjust the little piece that attaches the bottom the handle to the door. The color is just like our other handles throughout the house. It was super easy to install too, I was able to do it myself.

I was pleasantly surprised how sturdy and well made this was. All parts were there (instructions could have been a bit more detailed, more explanation, fewer pictures) but it was solid. The bottom of the handle has a tube that goes into the door--needs a hole drilled if your old handle is different, as was mine--but the ability to slide the handle up or down is excellent. Hard to explain, you'll see when you get it. All hardware fit nicely into other pieces. It got a 4 for ease of installation because it was a bear to get in, not because of the product, it's just how these things are. Not sure it can be made any easier, and there were instructions for putting into a new door as well. Good product, would buy again if I had another door that needed one.

Installation took way longer than should be. Instructions are almost completely pictures which is great if you can't read and don't have any trouble or need clarification! Unfortunately I can read and did need more clarification. Keys would not come out of deadbolt no matter what we tried unless in the lock position. After about 25 attempts, since there is no customer service number or website, somehow the last try just worked. We don't know what we did differently. Nice enough handle, looks good but was not an easy install, in comparison to others we have put on.
