Had to do a field repair on an aluminum gate, these worked fine and the weld has held for over 2 months. Surprised they welded well in all positions, but they worked fine.

Like another reviewer suggested, these work but are finicky. This was my first time welding aluminum and despite the seller saying they are Electrode negative, they didn't work at all for me as such. When i set it up to Electrode positive, i was able to fill the huge hole in the underside of my (yamaha dt1e)crankcase near the shift lever. They are messy though.

Well this stuff was a wast of money for me. It will not weld at all with my inverter welders. I tried with tig and no gas and no luck. I will use this with my AC DC inverter welder on AC tig with gas for Aluminum. Is it that difficult to make a flux covered aluminum rod that works. Ships to Mars, people going on rocket ships for fun come on people make a Aluminium welding rod that really works.

These are a waste of time and electricity. The bend right toward material using DC and just stick, even at 225amps.The aluminum drips out of the sticks so quickly arc length cannot be managed.

I wrecked my zx6r a while ago and when it got hit by the car it sheered off the pulsing cover and bolts on the side of the engine which also took the holes along. Used these rods to build up the broken holes on the block and tapped the new holes and worked great! These things are extremely hard to work with they stick and the end gets fluxed over a lot and they burn very quick. I turned my welder up to 135 amps and found that was the spot they were happy at. All in all im very happy and would recommend!

I wish these came in 3/32 but they work great, this was my first experience stick welding aluminum and these lit right up.
