I got this specifically because I adore hot pot and just want to eat it at home instead of having to go out. As it turns out making your own at home is just way better!! Who knew getting to control the ingredients and temperature of the pot would be such a huge improvement on the experience? I like the split pot so I can do a mild and spicy broth. The pot is pretty big and holds enough to feed about 4 people. If you like to crowd your pot with ingredients I would recommend getting the broth up to temp first and then adding your toppings, I feel like it struggled a little when the pot had a lot of non-broth material in it.

For the past few years, I’ve been very into cooking hot pot style meals. I’ve never owned something like this so this is a real game changer. I love entertaining and this is perfect for a little get together with girlfriends or other couples. It just makes for a very fun experience.

This electric hot pot is perfect for a fun and interactive meal. The divider allows me to cook two different foods at the same time, which is great for accommodating different preferences. It heats up quickly and evenly and the non-stick surface makes cleanup a breeze. The 5L capacity is plenty for a small group. It's a great way to enjoy a delicious and customizable hot pot meal at home. I'd recommend it for anyone who loves hot pot or wants to try it for the first time.

This hot pot does work. There are some things it does that make cooking more frustrating.On the positive note, the cord is stamped with ETL certification (see photo). The handles remain cool to the touch, so if you have to move the location of the pot - that's easy to do safely. The base plate has a non-stick coating.The concerns are:1. The divider cannot be removed or repositioned. It's fixed. So if you have more of one flavor, you cannot adjust for this in the pot.2. The unit itself is not submersible, and the top plate is not removeable. So you need to be extremely careful when washing it not to get the bottom wet. This has proven to be quite the challenge.3. The dial only has flames on it, no temperature range. I did measure the temp of my unit and this is what it shows:1 flame = about 108F2 flames = about 154-157F3 flames = about 198-205F (water boils at this setting).4. The cord is rather short. About 33"

Finally tried out this hot pot the other night. I do really like that I can do 2 flavors of soups for this hot pot. However, it's not a removable insert or anything, so it's totally a one trick pony. It's only for use for 2 flavors (or 1 if you put the same flavor in both sides) hot pot only. It's not really a dual purpose electric skillet or anything like other pots can be. So, this hot pot did keep the soup rather hot, but not boiling. The hot pot, at it's hottest setting, kept turning off. We tested the temperature of the soup and it kept it at roughly 180 degrees Fahrenheit. So, hot enough to cook at a safe temperature, albiet more slowly than my other pots, but not hot enough to boil.
