I ordered 67mm filter and found a scratch on it. Not big deal, I replaced it, and replacement came today and it has a scratch on the same spot.. I don't know.. manufacturing issues.. bad batch..Should I keep returning? It's on the side on 20mm lens, but I also have 85mm. It wouldn't bother me if I bought used and cheap, but this one is new and expensive

I mount these Hoya Evo Antistatic Protectors on the front of all of my lenses. There is little to no reason to put a UV filter in front of a digital sensor, but there are good reasons to put a protector in front of the front glass of your lens. This protector will not only do the usual job of keeping odd bits of detritus from striking or accumulating on your lens, but it is also has a fairly unique anti-static feature which minimizes dust collecting on the surface of the protector. Further, this protector allows more light to pass to your lens than a UV filter does.

I’m amazed at the cost of protection filters these days but this one even sheds raindrops.

I mainly got this filter to protect my expensive RF Canon Lens. When you have a Lens that costs north of $1,000, a little extra money to protect it is no big deal. This filter is nearly neutral in color and easily screws on and of the end of the lens. God forbid I end up dropping the lens, but if I do, this filter should do a good job of preventing the glass from cracking.

Very nice filter. I already had the 72mm and 77mm for my Sony FE 24-105 and Sony 70-300 lenses, and added this one for my 90mm Macro. They screw on the lenses very easily, and they give a very nice low profile appearance. Compared to a Hoya NXT that I got for my cheap FE 50mm lens in 49mm, Hoya Evo series filters have much better light output that you can even see yourself on a piece of white paper. My only complain is the price, and if my other high-end filters were not Hoya Evo, I would’ve spent a little more for a Breakthrough Brass UV X4 filter instead. Thanks for reading.

I love these filters. Today's newer multi-coatings makes them ideal for those of us who rarely use lens caps. Because I rarely use lens caps I tend to abuse filters, but these are up to the abuse, cleaning up quickly and being very difficult to damage. Great protection for my expensive lenses!

I have made test images with and without this filter on my Canon M6 to see if I could find any ghosting or image artifacts. I had light sources in some dark scenes and an array of daylight and studio resolution cards. I found no image degradation due to the filter.Dust and water easily blow off the filter with my puffer ball.

Extremely low profile allows me to use this with wider angle lenses without vignetting. And the anti static is a great feature when you live or play in desert areas.
