Bought two of them to place in my guitar cases. They are small but readings are well visible. The good thing: they are consistent between each other, show pretty much the same readings. The bad thing: humidity readings are off and not just by 2-3% as claimed. I have three other devices and I placed all of them next to my Nest thermostat. All five showed pretty much spot on temperature reading. But these two stood out with their humidity readings being 5-6% off (higher) compared to Nest. Since I bought them for humidity monitoring for the most part, I will be returning them and getting something more accurate.

This is a perfect temperature and humidity gauge. With minimum and maximum memory. Back light too. There is a reason why I called it "perfect"!

I removed the plastic from the batteries and reinstalled them. Then I made sure u had them in the right way. Still nothing. I replaced with my own batteries, and it seems to be working fine. If not for that, I would have given 5*. Also, the instructions weren’t clear about the plastic on the batteries. There should have been a warning on the battery case to alert customers.

When I received the unit, I placed it on the wall where my AC thermostat is. I wanted to be right at the same height and close to each other so that it's a comparable reading, hence the reason for the painter's tape cradling it I left it alone for couple minutes and when I came back it was showing what my AC thermostat was showing. I can't say there is agreement in humidity between the two, but I would need a third device to break the ties, so hard to say which one is off on that.On another note, I ended up discovering that the thermostat is quite sturdy because it fell off a good 5 feet on hardwood floors from that painters tape cradle and it was still working when I placed the ejected battery back in place. No cracks or any other damage.

I use this in my garage. I'm glad it has magnetic backing, so it can stick up in metallic places. It doesn't seem to stick to studs unfortunately. It is rather tiny though. You really have to go up to it to read the numbers. Not ideal if you just want to view temperature really quick from across the room.

We live in an older home so its been a struggle for us to keep certain areas in our home warm/cold depending on the season. This is a nice tool we have been using to see what different rooms around the house have been sitting at. It's been nice to set in different rooms to tell the humidity and the temp. We believe it's been pretty accurate and has been such a good quality for the price. When we aren't using it, we keep it on the fridge as it's a magnet too which we didn't even realize! Overall I would highly recommend as this was a fraction of the cost of anything in the stores.

I ordered the hoyiours Humidity Meter/Indoor Digital Thermometer to help me monitor the inside humidity levels and temperatures in my fifth wheel camper. High humidity combined with hot or cold temperature extremes creates damp conditions inside my camper leading to musty odors. I have a small dehumidifier that I run when the camper doors and windows are shut (ie: not there, air conditioning running, over night) and being able to monitor the humidity levels with the Thermometer helps me to understand what conditions cause odors. So far this approach is working great! As the humidity increases I can decide to close up the camper and run the dehumidifier. It keeps it both comfortable and smell free inside the camper! Love it!
