I've had this printer for 2 years and I give up. I'm throwing this away and buying a different printer. This printer can burn in hell.It prints fine, as long as you print regularly and you have unlimited budget for printer ink.But if you're like my family, we print here and there, sometimes weeks between. And if so, this spawn of satan will start having print quality issues probably because the ink is dry.So then you run the clean print head program, again and again. After running the clean printer head program 10+ times the print now looks normal. But then you see that after all that printer head cleaning the Yellow or Cyan ink level dropped 50%. And you start getting warnings about ink low.So then you start going to OfficeMax to buy ink. And a single little HP 952 ink cartridge for colors run about $25 each. And if you buy a full 4-pack (black and 4 colors) it's about $115 at OfficeMax.Now you do that once every 3 months and you spend waay more on ink than what the printer cost. And on top of that your wife, who is *not* tech-savy, keeps complaining that the printer doesn't work, there are streaks in the print (dry ink), it's out of ink, and you keep having to sit there and run the F****** printer head cleaning program, and keep going to OfficeMax, and your wife is pissed at you because you keep having to go out while she's watching the screaming kids. And you're pissed because you're pissing money out the window on ink.And then you buy some aftermarket ink cartridges that cost much less than HP ink cartridges but discover that HP printers prohibit it, and even if you fill the original cartridges it doesn't care and insists they are empty when in fact not.So one day you say F*** I*. And get rid of this piece of crap and swear to never buy HP printers again. If you print **once in a while**, and you want to print photos and documents, then DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER

If you want to print wirelessly there are so many hoops, validation errors. This printer simply does not respect your time - would not recommend this product. When it prints it's good - but thats when. You set up everything correctly? - It will reset in a couple of minutes. One minute it prints the next your back to square ground. Stay away. This printer suffers from the worst bloatware etc. Its actually hilarious but I can consistently print by sending documents to the printers email vs printing from a webpage for example. Its stupid.

Loving this printer so far. I purchased it about a month ago. I set up the ink ordering service which I really like. Print quality is great and the scanner works well. No issues connecting the wifi. My last Brother printer never connected to wifi no matter what I tried so I was half expecting the same thing to happen but nope this HP connected right away. I can print from any device anywhere in the house. It’s great.

Very nice printer. It is rather big too. Bigger than the Samsung color printer it is replacing. I am amazed at the speed of printing. Make sure you don't have it in quiet mode if you want speedy printing. Quiet mode slows it down tremendously to the point of varely making any noise. A useful feature if you have a sleepy house. Thankfully, Quiet mode can be scheduled to come on and off at certain times. Quality doesn't seem impacted by speedy or quiet mode. I like the various ways to print from various devices. Either using email to print, Google cloud print, etc. Scan to email is also easy. The printer comes with a set of Instant Ink cartridges. Took me a while to grasp the concept. It will probably confuse you at first. You basically subscribe to a service that will automatically send you replacing ink cartridges when they come low. The price of the subscription depends on how many pages you print per month. The cartridges come with a 3 month trial of Instant Ink. Know that the cartridges provided are setup cartridges. They have very low ink. Once you sign up for the trial, then the printer will phone home and HP will ship you brand new full instant ink cartridges. Instant ink cartridges are NOT the same as retail cartridges. They can only be used with a subscription. If you don't sign up for a monthly plan, they will cease to function and you'll have to buy retail cartridges. Important: Retail cartridges bought from a store (like Amazon) ARE NOT instant ink compatible so be warned. Only cartridges bought directly from HP are compatible and they are not refillable. For now, I'll stick with the subscription. It's very low cost and for a year's worth of subscription fee, it is far less than buying a whole set of new cartridges.Putting the printer on the network was extremely easy due to the large touchscreen. My previous Samsung only had a numeric keypad that was a massive pain. I recommend you give it a static IP on your network if you can. Makes it easier for all computer to print without having to scan the network for the IP (and the printer is asleep). So far quality of printing has been excellent. I don't print photos, though. After having a color laser printer, I decided to try inkjet again due to the cost of those toner cartridges. The price was horrible and instant ink sounded good. However, past experience with inkjet wasn't positive (10 years ago) due to the ink drying in the cartridge if I haven't printed in a while. Will have to see how this one fares.I did not have to install any special softwares or drivers for the printer. Google cloud print works perfectly and Windows 10 had no problems detecting it and setting it up. If you want to scan remotely, then you'll need HP's software, but scan to email is my preference. I don't use the fax part of the printer so I can't comment on that.UPDATE: It's been 7 months with the printer and we used it to photocopy, mass scan, etc. Stills works today. Never had a jam. The black ink cartridge ran low and HP sent me a new one automatically. Was happy for the no hassle. Scan to PC is flaky and it doesn't always sees the other PCs on the network so I instead use Scan to Email all the time. So far we haven't had any ink drying issues.

This is the 5th HP All-In-One I've owned for personal and business needs over the years. I've used them for handouts for presentations, photo sharing of youths in sports (for kids and their parents), educational information, business meetings, discharge folders for patients, and voluntary condo association duties. I find this printer/copier/scanner is wonderful! It was easy to set up to my WiFI (and to download HP drivers, updates, software), load with paper, change ink cartridges, great display and selection choice! It allows for non-HP ink cartridges (I haven't enacted HP's ink auto-delivery with this printer- I have had it in other HP printers but found I can use ink from secondary sources for everyday stuff and use HP inks for photos.) I appreciate that this printer has auto feed and can print on both sides with autofeed and scanned documents. I had switched from HP to an Epson Workforce type of printer as I wanted to save on ink. That printer's auto feed stopped working (didn't grab the paper) after a year for which I found a way to fix it from a consumer, however, after doing this a few times and it going out on me when I needed to copy a time sensitive 100+ page document on a busy night and had to do it manually, that printed took a one-way trip to my dumpster and promptly ordered the HP OfficeJet Pro 8720! I've used a lot of ink, both cheaper ink (on Amazon) and HP ink and haven't had any issues with scanning, printing, or copying- the copies have turned out well first time every time. I appreciate the unit is available in white and hope some day future models can be ordered in colors.

This is a good all-in-one printer. Print quality is nice, it's fairly fast, ink cartridges are readily available, wireless was a snap to set up, controls are easy and intuitive, and it is mostly the usual solid HP design. My one beef with it is that you have to move heaven and earth to get it to print card stock. I've searched the HP support forums and I'm not the only person with this issue. The only way I can print card stock is to put one piece of card stock on top of no more than 15 pieces of regular paper, lift the front of the printer about six inches to give the paper feeder a gravity assist, and then cross my fingers, because it usually takes several tries. I found this solution on their support forum, and it does work most of the time, but seriously? This issue was first reported over four years ago and they still haven't addressed it? So don't buy this if you want to print on card stock or other thick papers. It is fine otherwise.

This is a review of the HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 Wireless All in One Photo Printer.(Measures 19.7” x 17.7: x 13.3” and average use expectation of 250 to 2000 pages a month.)Summary – I wanted a multi-function printer for my many needs and I could find no other one even remotely close to the cost and feature of this one. Here is a quick chart of the things I considered which lead me to this. It has worked flawlessly since purchase, exceeding all expectations and I will update this review should I see any issues with ongoing use. This is hands down a five-star item in my books and I would recommend.ProsYou can scan single or double-sided documents. This is great as I can avoid the need to flip to get the scan of a second side.Duplex printing.Faxing.Copying.Scan to pc-email features. You can setup an email to send print jobs to. (Emails, photos, word docs, excel docs, pdf docs, etc.) It literally is simple as opening up a new email, adding attachments, add in an email address for the printer and clicking send. Printer gets email from wherever you are (providing you have it connected to internet and setup) and the printer will print the docs. Great for those who need to print something remotely or from a device-pc that the printer was not actually setup on.Large 4.3” Touchscreen interface. You can see the icons and easily know what you are doing.Photo cartridges are easy to install. Can be connected numerous ways. Wifi, USB and ethernet. Is a quick unit considering the lower price. ($172 for the 8720 white version which is what I have.)(Up to 24ppm black and 20ppm color and holds 250 pages in the tray. The output tray will hold 150 pages.)Can scan to email and desktop. I can use the touchscreen on the printer to have a document scanned and saved to the desktop of my pc. (More than one pc can be setup for a scan to pc feature.)ConsNo dedicated tray for 4x6 photos. You need to empty the main paper tray and adjust the sliders for the 4x6 photo stock you put in.Little loud and action seems a little jerky vs. smooth.Ink is expensive. In short, you will spend up to $120 for FOUR XL cartridges. (Black, Cyan, Magenta andYellow.) Less than $100 if you are not getting xl sizes. If you get aftermarket brands, you can get 2 black and one of each color in size xl for around $60.NotesSeveral people have indicated the instant ink program works, however, has quirks. I do not use this feature as I would never want anything ordered automatically. Plus they indicate there are excessive pop-ups for instant ink.
