From the Manufacturer

Genuine HPI quality spare part for easy maintenance and repairs.Fits right into all HPI electric cars and trucks. The lower the number of turns, the more powerful the motor is - this motor is much more powerful than the Saturn 27T and 20T motors.

I got this motor to replace the titan 12t on my slash 2wd. Acceleration with this motor is smoother than the titan, and overall feels a bit more snappy. However, my top speed suffered a loss of around ~5mph, and even with it geared up a bit, I find it still slower than the titan. I'm not complaining or anything, after all it is a 540 size 15t so that's to be expected. The quality of the motor is much better than the titan though, as it is still running great after several runs-my titan started smelling kinda acrid after just a few runs.

Faster than stock. I was worried about the speed of this motor because I was unsure of the stock motor specs. I was pleasantly surprised to notice an increase in overall speed and performance. Installed this motor for my neighbors son on a exceed rc Terrain 1/10 scale. We did not break the motor in with any special method. Let her rip right from the start, working great so far.

I installed this on my Redcat Volcano EPX, which came stock with a 25T 540 motor. The ESC is only rated up to a 19T motor but it runs just fine with this installed. It is an incredible upgrade that gave me much more speed than the stock motor. It does get VERY HOT, though. I was warned that running it on the stock ESC and full-throttle for too long can cause smoke and maybe even an electrical fire, so be careful if you do what I did. I would definitely buy this again if the motor were to give out but I'm hoping to upgrade to brushless soon.

I put this motor on my Tamiya BlackFoot III. I have 3 other Tamiya's, Grasshopper, Hornet, and Frog. I mention this because the motor will fit all of them and will soon be added to the *Grasshopper . The Frog being the fastest, i can now keep up with it. I wanted to go even faster so i switched out my 7.2v battery with a 8.4v 3800mah. I added a $4 heat sink as the motor gets hot, I feel this helps the motor resist my torture. It's now faster than the stock Frog and the motor is lasting. Its not as fast as a LiPo powered system, but its a nice cheap upgrade w/o buying a new ESC, LiPo battery, and charger.*If you add it to The Grasshopper, you may need a sprocket

Do not waster your money. If you think the Titan motors are bad, then these will have you begging for a 12T. I bought 3 of these. One from the local hobby shop and two from amazon. The one from the hobby shop was broken in in water. The water was black after 2 minutes. The motor lasted about 5 minutes in the truck. The second one was also broken in with water. It lasted maybe 2 hours of run time. The third one was not broken in. I pulled it out of the package and installed it. It lasted the longest and gave up after about 4-5 hours. If you like working on RC's and don't care about how much you're spending, then you will love these. If you like driving your RC's, then you should look elsewhere. My best suggestion is to go brushless. I know you have heard that 100 times already, but there is a reason for that. Believe me when I tell you I tried almost every brushed motor out there. I put off going brushless as long as possible due to the upfront costs. But you will spend more in continuously replacing brushed motors in the long run. I bit the bullet and bought one Castle brushless system and have never looked at another brushed motor. I ended up replacing all of my brushed motors with Castle systems eventually. I have three sons and we have a BUNCH of RC's. I was very frustrated before, as they were having all of the fun until the motors burnt up, and I was spending a lot of time and money working on them. Switched everything over to brushless and actually have time to drive them now whenever we want to. Don't waste your time or money on these.

I bought a Traxxas Stampede for my son for his birthday. Motor burnt up 4 times in 1 week. Even though Hobby Shop was replacing for free it was burning $20 in gas to drive down there each time. They recommended different ways to break in motor but motors continued to fail. Researched online and found practically nobody likes the Titan 12t Motor and had similar problems. I ordered 2 of the HPI 15t Motors to see if I could find a cheaper, stronger alternative till I upgrade to brushless. The HPI motor I installed I didn't even break in. Wanted to see what kind of beating the motor could take. I ran this motor hard and had no problems. Decided to keep pushing motor harder and harder checking temps. 1 Day I ran the motor up to 230degrees and just new the motor was done. Smoke was coming out. Next day put it back on the street and what do you know, it still worked for a few days till it finally blew. I recommend this motor highly if you want a more reliable brushed motor for Traxxas vehicles. The Titan 12t could barely handle 140degrees. Not recommending you run the HPI to 230degrees but this motor is way more forgiving then the stock Titan 12t Crap!

What can I say, burned out another stock traxxas motor and ordered this lil guy as a replacement. I believe this motor to be an UPGRADE!! Put the motor on and broke it in at half throttle for 25 mins, motor never even got warm!! First run was in a parking lot and it was fast, smooth and reliable. Great motor, great product.......now lets just see how it holds up over time. Highly recomend. One word of advise BREAK-IN!!
