Not difficult to replace in ceiling fan/light combo. Did have to switch out metal bracket due to tube length needed for shade but that was also easy. Great value. Seems good quality. Overall fit in place of factory.

We had to rework the thing to get it to work. It does work but we can't get the light globe back on it.

So to start like most reviews said around this part and in particular the installation; It's not a drop in part. That said, everything you likely need is on your existing part, so lets start there. I have a Hunter Fan and to remove the old part was simple. A few screws. remove lock nut and cut two wires (white and black), easy. The only part of the old assembly that I needed was the bottom extension and you unscrew it by hand after loosening the lock nut and reassemble to the new assembly. Then reverse the disassembly of removing the old and put the new on. I wire nutted the white and black wires together keeping the connector end that came with the fan. Afterwards installed LED low wattage bulbs (Edison regular bulb size and got rid of the small candle type) with this new assembly. Then reset breaker and tested the lights and.....Let there be light and there was. $14 partassembly and fixed. 30 mins taking my time really easy but again not a drop in fix. I attached a pic of my fan so you can compare to your existing fan.

It installed easily in my ceiling fan. The OEM switch never worked from the day it was installed. This beauty is an equivalent sized replacement and the electrical pull switch is quite smooth. I made a good choice.

I bought this to replace a faulty one on my ceiling fan in my laundry area. My husband installed it with relative ease, put the bulbs in and VOILA!! I can see again!! One thing that isn’t a big deal is that the length is too short to accommodate the globe. I can actually see better without the globe, so it’s a WIN! WIN! Pleased with this purchase!
