Left Handed Die & Tap used for steering components of karts and other places where an adjustable tie rod is required. LH Taps and Dies are not readily available but these come in days through Amazon and no time wasted shopping only to find no-one has them in stock.

This threads really well ! Left hand threads are the cleanest for the environment in the northern hemisphere...same circulation as liquid drains.

Both tap and die are LH. Normally I only buy reputable taps and dies like Greenfield et al. But only needed for a one-off odd job cleaning up some threads. Did its job for the price.

Great little inexpensive set. I don't like spending a lot of money for something I know I'm not going to use a lot so this was perfect. I am pretty heavy handed when tapping and it holds up great (i snap home depot taps all of the time so I don't buy those any more)I was going through some machined cast iron on the tap and mild steel on the die with some cutting oil. They are still sharp and in good shape. Both were about an inch of threads so that's not a short distance. It's a good buy
