For standard threading this set works great. Thread form not quite precise enough for fine machining. But, it worked for my requirements.

Needed the left hand tap to thread a new lead screw nut for my 9 x 20 lathe. Works well in bronze. Threads were sharp and a good fit on the original leadscrew, with no slop or backlash.

I used both the tap and die. I had to fix the threads of the tensioner of my car. Had no idea left hand threads existed. Buggered my threads. Figured out I needed this kit. Worked perfectly to repair my threads.

I only needed the tap, but I bought this just in case I would need the die later on. The tap worked great, but I only used it in brass for a mini lathe cross slide nut. The threads are a little tight, but that could either be the threaded rod I used or the tap itself. Either way it'll loosen up with use.
