Quick bullet points about sliders:

  • They are not designed to protect plastics, clipons, or rearsets, even though they might help sometimes.

  • You do not want a slider to stick out too far or it will help flip your bike in a crash by snagging on the ground, curb or anything else.

  • You want delrin or plastic to touch down when you crash as they will grind off and not catch on anything and if hit hard enough or direct enough they will shatter.

  • If your slider shatters, grinds off or bends then it did it's job. You don't want it solid after a crash or it didn't absorb any energy but merely transfered it on to what you bolted it to.

  • When f1 cars hit the side of a track they explode as they don't want the drive to absorb the energy. Frame sliders are the same way. You want them to stay attached but get beat up and take the energy.

  • If the bolt on a frame slider bends that's a good thing as the only other option is to put the energy on the frame or mounting point. Better the bolt bends. Also if it didn't bend it might have flip the bike by snagging something. A mangled frame slider, but still on the bike, did it's job.

  • No cut frame sliders aren't a direct bolt on like cut sliders as they often have a bracket.

Bought to install on my 07’ R6S. First off, the seller sent me the complete wrong thing on the first try, which didn’t even include pucks or the bracket, just a couple bolts. This gave me no choice but to return them and try again. These frame sliders are advertised as no-cut, but there’s no way you’d be able to install the slider on the right side in the correct location without cutting the plastics. The bracket used to relocate the puck away from the plastics actually makes it impossible to bolt the plastic back up. The slider on the left side would likely be able to work, but even it was a bit too narrow to fit correctly. The bolts are crap and didn’t want to go into the threads nicely on the bike. The pucks would probably be fine but that doesn’t matter if you can’t even get them onto the bike.

It is a great value. Could benefit from at least a simple installation guide. I figured it out but it took a little while.

My only issue with this project is the hardware as it comes very cheap kind of like the price but this product design for one fall and it will do its job. I upgraded my hardware to grade 12 bolts so I use the money to save on the parts to upgrade the hardware well worth it, and would totally recommend it just be aware of the hardware that comes with it

I personally hate endorsing stuff and promoting it unless it’s actually worth it that is. These frame sliders deserve the recognition! I was very surprised by the price and expected them to be chrome plated plastic since they were selling for $30. NOPE, they are in fact true metal frame sliders that came with good hardware, but sadly no instructions. It’s pretty easy to figure out how to correctly install them but I’d rather not have to check my work and know that I did it right the first time around. Believe me, you won’t find a better set for the money anywhere!

Would have given 5 star review.... but for some reason the set only comes with one of the mounting brackets.......wtf why? Now I need to order another set to get the bracket for the other side?

Look nice. Haven't dropped my bike so I cant say anything about strength but they look like they can take a low speed slide fine.

I have a 2003 Yamaha r6 that is my track day toy. Literally tested these out a few days ago and they worked exactly as advertised. I had a 60-70 mph low side crash, no damage to the fairings, exhaust, or engine cases (only my pride...amirite). They are definitely a "one time use" product, and were ground down quite a bit, but worked great, and saved me a great deal more money than if they failed or I didn't have them. Just ordered a second set to put back on the bike.

Saved from a drop in the driveway. Didn’t have to cut fairing and install was easy. Not sure how they would hold up in a slide and don’t want to find out. Ride safe
