Not at all happy with this product, the holes in the base are larger than the rods with clips that you insert, it’s not a secure hold whatsoever which doesn’t inspire confidence for it holding painted pieces. Would not recommend or buy again.

As other reviewers have noted, the posts on the black metal alligator clips are too thin and wobble when placed in the base. The red plastic alligator clips and red plastic posts fit much better and don't wobble at all.I was able to make the thin posts fit much better by wrapping a small piece of scotch tape around the bottom of each one. After that repair, the product worked just the way I expected it to.

product itself came intact. Have the additional useful red clips that adds additional option for some gundam pieces. Smaller platform to hold all the pieces in, but a good starter set if you are looking to get into painting your models

This is a great set at a great price. The base is sturdy, the sticks are thick and rigid, and fit well into the base.However, what really sets this product apart are the supplied plastic holders that are designed to hold GUNPLA parts via peg holes or ball joints/sockets. These hold the parts both with minimal obscuring of surfaces that need to be painted, as well as minimal possible damage to delicate finishes that alligator clips might otherwise cause.I have yet to see another set that offers these, and they are a fantastic idea. My only criticism is that the stems are short, which I assume is to avoid them getting damaged since the plastic is less sturdy than the alligator clip sticks. However, I'm not docking a star as this is easily bypassed by simply grabbing the plastic stem with one of the alligator clips. In my experience, they hold on well enough that the plastic one won't slip or rotate.I wish I could buy more of the plastic holders separately, but I have no qualms about ordering another couple of these sets to get them.Highly recommended.
