These are well made aluminum clamps, the only negative thing about them is the small diameter locking wheel. I have to use a set of channel locks to keep the rifle from creeping out of the saddle. I definitly wouldnt trust it to hold my rifle while stepping away.

This clamp is well made and beefy. The action is smooth and you can get a nice grip on your stock using the tri-wing knob. That is, if your stock is compatible. I have a couple rifles that have an angled profile to the bottom of the stock and this clamp just doesn't work well with them (not enough "purchase" on the sides of the stock to get a really good grip). Having said that, any straight side clamp will also have similar trouble.

All the machining looks good and it appears to work as it should but I never got to use it. The sides of the clamp/sadle are too short for my stock and I they didn't appear to have enough purchase to hold my rifle securely.
