Great quality product would definitely recommend just as good as any other short throw shifter on the market for the ST

I purchased this a few days ago and it arrived within 2 days. It said it would be a week later so I was happy to receive it quicker. I carefully read over the instructions before starting a couple times and expected based on some other sellers instructional video, that it would take 2-3 hours. The nuts and bolts of the instructions is that you have to disconnect the battery so that it doesn't cause a check engine light when disconnecting the mass air sensor, take the intake air box out, disconnect one of the transmission links, put the plates over the original connector, and put a new one on the plate, then reconnect. Inside, you have to remove a few plastic interior bits to reach the shifter, mechanism, disconnect the trans links there, then cut a piece of plastic off that holds it in place. Once it is out, swap the new part for the old, decide how short you want it - there are 3 settings, I chose the middle, then reassemble. All in all, it took a little over an hour but that was due to me forgetting to do a few things and having to take it back a part. Shifting now is much closer and doesn't feel like its all plastic. If you held your hand at the top of the shifter, stock probably moved 3-4 inches from 1st to 2nd. Now it is about 2 inches. from the bottom of the shifter, it appears to move about 1 inch with the middle setting used. I am not a professional mechanic but have worked on cars over the years. This was for a 2016 Focus ST. I recommend this one, as it is one of the cheapest and complete kit, but I also have not tried others.
