Works great for small tanks, but as others have said it is a few degrees off. You can just set it a bit higher so it's not a deal breaker for me.

It works and it’s small, but not calibrated. It is usually 5 degrees hotter than what my thermometers say. So keep an eye with a thermometer to find out how far off yours runs.

I needed a heater upgrade for my 5 gallon nano tank. The current heater, 10 watts, was having trouble keeping the tank at my desired temperature. It was also a "fixed" temperature heater meaning it was not adjustable, which I do not like. This little heater is the same footprint as my 10 watt heater but with 5 times the wattage! It has no issues keeping my tank at the desired temp. The temp adjustment being built on the power cable is also a nice feature as well, no need to dip your hands into the tank to adjust the temp. Also has a nice little display for not only what temp you're setting the heater at, but also for the current water temp. I have been fish keeping for around 20 years and a smaller heater like this typically doesn't come this function packed. Also, I have been using hygger products for the past 5 years or so. They have not let me down, including other heaters of theirs. As people in the hobby know, you need a reliable heater to protect your investments. I would highly recommend this heater or most other hygger products to anyone!

Really simole to use heater. I set the temp and dropped it in and basically forgot about it. I've occasionally taken temp reads with another device and it's spot on. Happy with it.

been using this in a 5 gallon, but since I just moved to northeast Ohio, I figured a little extra capacity might keep us safer. been monitoring with two separate thermometers once the first one hit a discrepancy, but figured out it was the first thermometer that was off. always a big fan of the lights on this brand, so glad to add another of their items to my fishy arsenal.

I was having trouble finding something to tit in the very limited space in my Fluval Flex 9. This fits perfectly! It also keeps the temperature within a degree of so of the set temp. The temp gauge is very accurate, as compared to my ither thermometer. Would recommend.

This heater is garbage. You have to set it 5° higher than what you want the tank temperature to be, and the temperature constantly fluctuates and drops. I got the 50 w for my 8 gallon and it does not work. Returning.
