I like this cause it wasn’t too big and I was using it to hang on the wall in my hallway and plant room to put things in. I didn’t want to forget right by the door and it makes a cute decoration love this. I’m sure it looks cute right by your outside door, as long as it’s has overhang to protect it, although Rust would make it look antique

my outgoing mail has always been left on the front desk in the hall. Now I have this beautiful piece to put that mail into and not just having my outgoing mail out where everyone can see it. They indicate you can have it set on a table, but I found the back lip makes it rather wobbly. So I had it attached to my wall just a little above the table. Just love it. As noted, I do have this inside my home . I do not know how this mailbox would hold up outside in the elements.

I was expecting it to be a heavier metal. It's ok and it was a style that fit the house. Its on a covered porch so I'm hoping that since its protected, that it will last for a while.

My granddaughter needed her own mail box. Had a little blue one for a long time and someone would putmail in it along with other treats....that was when she was 5. Now she is 7 and wanted one for her birthday. She now knows that it was me putting in mail and treats. So we are back to square one, filling the mail box with treats, just like the good ole days. It suits her parent's house and lovely to look at....I wish I could have a mail box that someone would want to put in treats...no bills, just treats.....lol

This is a really cute mailbox! I’m afraid it may leak when it rains but I am going to try it out anyway. Just have to convince my husband that it will be ok.

I love this, I love the cuteness of it, but it’s not the most practical mailbox! Must be protected from the rain!You do need to be careful when first unpacking it, to avoid any dirty marks etc. Make sure your hands are clean and oil free, but still handle with caution. Surface seems to soak in disturbances easily, even when you’re using caution. I can’t stress that enough!Rust-oleum is a must! I preferred the clear matte finish over the gloss finish. Do not touch it or otherwise disturb it once sprayed, until dry. You’ll rub off the existing pain.If you don’t mind it being flimsy and the location will be protected from the weather, especially rain/snow, this is a cute addition. Don’t expect a lot from the hinges however.I have a covered porch, and while I do love the design, had I seen it in person, I likely wouldn’t have purchased it for the price. It has the look, feel and quality of what you find in Hobby Lobby for seasonal decor. To look at, but not actually use, especially if not sprayed to seal it. If returning wasn’t complicated due to my location, I would have sent it back.*screws to mount not included.
