I wanted to add a classical style guitar to my collection when I learned of this Ibanez model. This is my seventh Ibanez guitar so I am obviously completely satisfied with their product. The YouTube reviews were favorable and the guitar demos sounded great. I'm certain people may have mixed feelings about this model and there are probably more desirable classical guitars but they do come at a much higher price point. Bang for the buck on this one was a no brainer for me. Craftsmanship is flawless, the woods are beautiful. The guitar rings out nicely, you can feel the wood resonating just handling this guitar. The string nut is slotted properly, spacing perfect, high enough off the first fret so it doesn't buzz and low enough to not sharpen note when fretted and maintain playing comfort. I did make a slight truss rod adjustment which is expected on and acoustic style guitar that will be stocked in different climates before shipping to end user. All players have their action preferences, I did work some stock from the bottom of the bridge to lower the action about 1/32" for my personal preference and was able to do so without fret buzz. Out of the box this guitar played more comfortably than many classical guitars I've played on. I can't stop picking it up and playing it. In an interview I heard Tim Henson ask WTF is this thing when first handed this guitar. He got up close and personal with it and it became one of his signature models in the upgraded Fishman electronics and TOD fingerboard inlay model. Check him out on YouTube and listen to what this guitar sounds like in his hands. No need to take my word for it. Great addition to my collection, this is my boating guitar!
