The GIO series was developed for players who want Ibanez quality, but working within a limited budget. Subject to many of the same rigorous inspection standards and warranty coverage as other Ibanez guitars, GIO guitars offer the best sound, style, and playability of anything in their class. This principled approach has not only put better guitars in the hands of new players—it’s been responsible for launching numerous new musical careers around the world. The GRG131DX begins with the iconic Ibanez RG series body, constructed of poplar. It’s then fitted with a Maple GRG neck sporting a Treated New Zealand Pine fretboard, Medium frets, and Sharktooth inlays in red. Electronics include two Infinity R pickups with a 3-way selector switch for a variety of tonal options, right at your fingertips.

My guitar came with the neck messed up and the first 2 frets don't even work I would have to spend about what its worth to fix it and now it won't even work with my amp I have only had it for 6 months HIGHLY do not recommend

I have always wanted a blue ibanez guitar, this one was available at a good pricewith repayments spread over 5 months interest free.Having read the other reviews regarding the graduation finish, it took a chance.On arrival they were right, it is not a graduation as shown in the photo's, theseare stock photo's off Ibanez's website, the mistake is with Ibanez not Amazon.The correct name for the model and finish is -:Ibanez GRGA120QA Transparent Blue Burst Spot 2021I have attached a stock photo of this new version.Other than the finish issue the rest of the guitar is excellent for the price.It was easy to play out of the box with a low action and no fret issues.perfect for a beginner to learn on.It can be upgraded and i will be replacing the bright sounding ceramic pickupswith better Alnico ones, also the plastic nut and cheap tuners will be replaced.Highly recommended for any player, with some upgrades it will be even better.
